Located on the Prospect/Cheshire line, B & R Stables has been providing customers with trail rides for over 30 years. Nestled quietly in the scenic area surrounding Holiday Hill Day Resort, our riding stables are open April - November, 7 days a week weather permitting, for children and adults of all levels of riding.Trail rides are $30 per person for a one hour trail ride. Longer trail rides are available at certain days and times. Please contact us for more information regarding special trail rides. Weekdays, trail rides are usually 10 am, 11 am, and 12 noon, 1 pm, 2pm. On weekends, trail rides leave each hour, on the hour, beginning at 10 am, and the last ride leaving at 3 pm. For those more advanced riders, that would like a more challenging ride, the earlier rides are your ride of choice.

We are wedding and party specialists and have been providing horsedrawn wedding carriages and carriage rides for over 25 years.

On premises leasing of horses is another possibility at Rose haven. Cleanliness and friendliness are most important to us. Two instructors, one excellent with children, the other is for the more advanced rider. Nursery schools, girl scouts, boy scouts, brownies, humane society, parks and rec., have all visited our barn .Our facility is set on a 10 acre parcel, 3-4 acres is occupied by the facility, the remaining acreage we hay for the horses.
We have an outdoor arena (120 x 120) as well as an indo or ( 80 x 120).Our barn facility has a heated office, tack room, and wash stall. We have 4 Turn out paddocks(grass) and 1 sand paddock directly behind the barn. Our Stable offers primarily English/Hunt Seat lesson programs. Fully private, 1/2 hour in length. Riding Packages are available ( $175 for 5 LESSONS) or individually-$40 ea. We offer "mini lessons" (small children get lead
around with lead line and taught inf. on horsemanship). 15-20 minutes in length. Parties, for whatever occasion, mostly birthdays, are offered. One our length of time for riding and children view the stable, & a picnic table is available for pizza or cake or .....

Our wagons can accommodate approximately twenty passengers. After the ride you have the option of enjoying a campfire while providing your own food and drink.

Hosting a clinic at your farm can be a valuable way to add to your training. Special events can also be arranged for your organization. I can assist many disciplines in sharing my knowledge of Dressage as that is the basis for all equestrian activities. I can also assist the advanced Dressage and Hunter/Jumper rider and competitor specifically. These can make for great cross training events! I will work with you and your horse to maximize your potential without disregarding your work to date. Two and Three day clinic formats work best to get to know participants and make real progress. I am available for clinics throughout the United States. I am based in Connecticut from mid April through December and in Florida from January through mid April.
