Granite Creek Guest Ranch
Ride out from the cabins for a cattle drive.  Our guests think this is the most fun part
of their trip, when they get to experience the Old West.  These cattle drives will
accommodate novices and youngsters as well as experienced riders.  Guest comments:  "..the best part of the visit for us..",  "Good fun..", "The highlight for us..a lot of fun!", "This is what we signed up for!  Loved them!"Trail rides begin at ranch headquarters (6000 feet elevation) and wind through scenic meadows, dense forests and canyons, to high wind-swept ridges and mountain trails above 7000 feet, with breathtaking views of the distant Teton Peaks.  Morning and afternoon rides are scheduled each day with choices of 3+ hour rides or shorter rides for the youngsters or those wanting an easy, gentle horse ride. Children under 6 not allowed on rides - they will have hand-led horse rides. No bareback or double riding.Single file riding not required. Most of our riding is done at a walk (there's an old saying that the fastest way to move cows is slowly), but you might have to make a fast break for a cow trying to leave the herd.  This is also out of respect for our horses.Have fun!

MEADOW VUE RANCH
Meadow Vue Ranch is a working ranch in Southeastern Idaho overlooking Henry's Lake, minutes from the west entrance to Yellowstone Park and the Continental Divide. We pasture nearly a thousand yearling cattle and about a hundred mother cows. We also keep about seventy saddle horses, and teams of draft horses. Each summer we offer a variety of recreational activities on the ranch and in the surrounding area. Our summer youth program is designed for boys and girls ages nine through eighteen. Weekly sessions allow youth the opportunity to live on a working ranch, ride horses, work with cowboys, and handle livestock. All of our activities encourage self-confidence by learning practical skills and development of personal responsibility. Participants will learn western horsemanship, horse care and safety. Participants learn to do drills on horseback and rodeo skills (with parental permission), such as barrel racing, pole bending, rough stock, roping and goat tying. The ranch experience also includes scenic trail rides, as well as participating in our rodeos and more. On Wednesday, Friday and Saturday evenings everyone pitches in to be a part of our Old West Bar-b-Que and Rodeo, which includes a western singer and line dancing. The youth program week begins on Sunday and ends on Saturday. Participation is limited to 15 youth in order to create a family atmosphere. Boys and girls are housed separately. Our activities allow everyone to learn, and each person can participate at their own ability and experience level. Meadow Vue's well-trained staff includes veteran horse and livestock people. All activities are carefully supervised.

The Equestrian Center
Ride our horse/pony or yours! We prioritize safety (helmets provided or bring your own) and the importance of horsemanship.  Depending on the individual’s focus and attention span we include topics such as: catching the ponies, grooming, tacking & untacking, safe leading & tying techniques, mounting- from a block, from the ground and emergency dismounting, veterinary care, trim/shoeing information, stable management skills, trailer loading experience, and so on. We try to keep the lessons varied and encourage students to ride English, Western or both in enclosed arenas (starting in 60’ round pens), over poles, on our “beginner trails” (with an instructor), playing an array of games that help improve balance, coordination and confidence in the student and much more! WE NOW OFFER A LESSON/PRACTICE PROGRAM! see below.
