Sun Rock Ranch hosted eight miles of trails for the 1996 F.E.I. World Championship 100-mile Equestrian Endurance Event. Trail ride with a resort horse or with your own horse on the same terrain and countryside on which world champions raced for this prestigious event. Minimum age for trail riding is 12 years old. All riders 12 and older may participate in trail rides ONLY after they are prescreened by Resort staff.

HAPPY TRAILS HORSEBACK RIDES, LLC
Happy Trails offers rides for almost every level of rider. However, the horse should not exceed a trot so no steeple chasing or barrel racing. This ride involves trotting the horse. The trail includes going up and down some hills and across waterPlanned with the beginning rider in mind, this ride beings with fifteen minutes of instruction and is on mostly flat ground with few terraces. The trail takes you around the edges of a pasture and beside a pond.

In support of our mission to create an environment where horses under our care can find a calm, safe, and happy home and our customers can enjoy the positive mindsets of their horses either as interested owners and/or riders. We have two trainers, Bill Walton and Shaughnessy Morris. Bill trains for Western, Hunt Seat, Hunter Jumper, and Dressage and Shaughnessy trains Western, Hunt Seat and Saddle Seat. Our training is not breed specific.Our trainers maintains detailed records of each training session. This information is shared periodically with the horse's owner during training. We offer full training and half training. Full training includes up to five workouts per week of approximately 1 hour in length. To complete full training the horse receives 20 workouts. Full training can last more than one month. Half training includes up to five workouts every two weeks. To complete half training the horse receives 10 workouts.

Stepping Stone Ranch
For people who like horses, nothing can create memoriesof a lifetime like attending a quality Summer Horse Camp. Summers spent at riding camps can create friendships and experiences that children or adults will cherish forever.  You want your child to have a fun and exciting summer camp experience that you can feel comfortable about.  Stepping Stone Ranch can please both parents and children with a fun-filled daily itinerary with a dedication to safety. We will show you or your child the unique and beautifulrelationship between horse and rider. We strive to give students the confidence and self-esteem that comes from riding and handling horses with thoughtfulness and respect.Days are organized togive students a well-rounded equine education that includes safety measures, hands-on horse care, English riding, stable activities, and lots of information about horses and riding in general.  There will also be craft activities and nature walks. 
We are experienced in teaching students of all ages the joy of learning in a safe environment that emphasizes cooperation and respect. Our head riding instructor is an accomplished rider and teacher, and has years of experience in the equine field.  Experienced, caring staff, and a fun, upbeat atmosphereteaching respect for the animals and responsibility coupled with our comprehensive learning program give you, your child and your horse an equestrian experience of a lifetime.No one is permitted on a horse without proper certified headgear! Helmets are provided by Stepping Stone Ranch, but children must supply their own footwear with a 1/2 to 1 inch heel, and proper riding pants or jeans for riding. No sandals or shorts please! Only closed-toe footwear permitted to protect little (or big) feet! Children are never left unsupervised with horses and precautions are taken to make sure everyone has fun without getting hurt!
