Our riding mp has been formulated for those with some equine experience. Our camping experience has an emphasis on western horsemanship along with a little ranch roping. Our camp is set up for you to go back in time and live your weekend like the old west cowboys & cowgirls (with a few modern conveniences :) ) You will not only learn to ride with confidence, but enjoy a historic ranch setting. Giving you a taste of the cowboy/girl life. Here at the ranch we have several animals you will become accustom to, including texas longhorn cattle & sheep.Our camp site is set back in the deep woods of our land. With the choice of 10 campsites for you to set up your tent. You will enjoy the peaceful and serene setting of the hills, tall pine trees, & chirping birds. Letting you relax after a full day of riding enjoyment. Saturday night there will be Cowboy songs, and sweet smores over the campfire.All meals are included with fee. Our ranch cook has over 40 years of experience cooking for cowboys and cowgirls. Everyone comes from miles around just for a bite of her cookin! Christian based non-profit organization geared toward but not limited to helping those with disabilities advance in western horsemanship. Our program has been formulated with an emphasis on development of educational and social skills as well as basic riding skills. Horseback riding promotes the improvement in reflex muscle activity, eye-hand coordination, and balance and equilibrium reactions as well as instills self-confidence, and gives the student a real sense of accomplishment and personal success

We teach all ages, including children over the age of 2 with our current oldest student is 79 years young! and levels of western-style and bareback riding. WestWind Stables Equestrian Camp is a Horse Camp for girls nine to thirteen years old.
Campers arrive at camp on Sunday.We start the week with a special introductory bonfire and Hayride.Everyone is a winner at WestWind Stables so instead of having a Horse Show for our campers to compete in, we end our camping week on Friday with a special Horse Presentation for their entire family to watch.Every camper who participates in the Horse Presentation will be awarded a very special WestWind Stables gift.This gives every camper the opportunity to celebrate their success and progress with their horse.Registration for camp requires a $200.00 nonrefundable deposit.The cost of camp covers all of the camper's meals, lodging, educational materials, field trips, and awards for the entire week.

BUNKER PARK STABLE
No experience is necessary to enjoy the natural beauty of Bunker Hills Regional Park from horseback. We have a wide variety of horses, including draft horses, for all sizes and skill levels. Come by yourself or bring a group. We schedule up to 15 riders per hour; we are able to accommodate more riders if needed. Daily we offer hourly guided trail rides. Our experienced guides will assist you in mounting and give brief riding and safety instructions before taking the group out on the trails. Plan on arriving at least fifteen minutes prior to your scheduled ride for check in procedure at the office. Riders must be 8 years old AND 52” tall to ride. We cannot allow double riding. All riders under 18 must wear a helmet. You may bring your own or rent ours for $2. We require that all riders be able to mount unassisted from a mounting block. Reservations are required in advance and held with a credit card number or prepaid deposit. Cancellations must be made four hours in advance, or your deposit is will be forfeited. The perfect activity for the younger horse lover. The child is led by a parent/guardian on a shaded continuous loop path. Our experienced staff will go through the basics of pony leading with you. Rides are about 20 minutes long. Children must be old enough to sit on the pony by themselves. For safety’s sake, with younger children, we suggest bringing an additional adult to walk beside the child and pony. The adult leading will need both hands on the lead rope to properly control the pony. Helmets are required; you may bring your own or rent ours for $2. Our ponies are well-trained and gentle. They can carry children up to 8 years old and 100 lbs. Reservations are required. A great group activity. Come and experience a horse drawn hayride pulled by our team of gentle draft horses. Gather your family, friends, or co-workers and pile on our large, flat bed wagons for a fun filled, hour long ride through the park. One wagon can accommodate up to 40 people. If your group is larger than that, we will take multiple wagons out. After the ride, sit back, relax, and enjoy a crackling camp fire, ideal for roasting marshmallows, hot dogs, warming up, or just telling stories. Recreational fires with picnic tables are offered either one hour prior to or following your ride for $10. Outlets are available to plug in hot drinks during your ride to be taken out to your fire after. Please call at least two weeks in advance to make a reservation. A deposit or credit card number is needed to hold a reservation.

Bar L Stable
Terry teaches all the riding lessons, with lots of help from the "kids". Our students learn to groom, saddle, and do basic horse care. Beginners learn correct position and riding confidence, while advanced students work on showing techniques and getting the most out of their horses. Adult riders like the private atmosphere and the chance to learn at their own pace.Our students have won lots of state 4-H trips, many ribbons and trophies, and most importantly, they gain self-confidence, correct riding skills, and enjoy their horses!
