Enjoy a two - and a- half hour horseback tour of the ranch with lunch for $75.00 or take a cool evening ride with an old - fasioned steak cookout for $85.00. Learn to ride with private lessons by a professional instructor at $40.00 per hour: Group lessons are available for two or more at $30 per hour per student. LONESOME DOVE RANCH
Sporting a range of experienced wranglers and well-trained trail horses, the ranch is just bursting with possibility. From overnight trail-rides where you'll be sleeping under the stars, to staying in Tipis in our authentic Western Indian Village. You can even get married on the trail, in our Indian Village or in our "Wild Horse Saloon and Eatery," which is an ornate barn with western memorabilia. Breath-taking scenery and home cooking only add to the fun you can find. You won't be able to get enough. Truly one of its kind, Lonesome Dove offers anything your heart may desire. Personal safety instructions will be provided prior to each ride. Lonesome Dove Guides must accompany all rides. Riding double is not permitted. Children must be 7 years old to ride. A trail ride release form must be signed by each rider prior to riding. Children under the age of 18 must have release form signed by parent to ride.

The reason that our ranch is more than a guest ranch as there is so much to do in the area . . From horseback riding, to mountain biking, hiking, fly fishing, golfing, fine dining and live theatre we have it all and now with winter approaching, we have snow skiing, cross country skiing, the horse and sleigh rides, and the dog sled rides. With the addition of Bill Beck and Doug Jackson, our horse program has expanded to include Sleigh Rides in the winter, wagon rides in the summer, cattle drives and brandings in early summer. If riding's your pleasure, we have a wide variety of trails and rides to suit the tenderest tenderfoot or the most experienced rider - from an hour to a week or more. We run trail rides all year long. If you come along on a winter ride, wear ski clothes, the warmest boots you have, and don't forget gloves and a hat. Please call for reservations and prices. Forest service fee and 3% resort tax are additional.
