Merry Mount Riding
Monthly rates are given to encourage students to come each week for consistency & a more direct route to learning all aspects of riding. The better rate also rewards the dedicated student & family for their help in budgeting the farm expenses. We encourage any missed lessons to be made up in another class. They may not be deducted from the next monthly payment. Please consider your monthly fee as a reservation for your spot in class. Set in the beautiful pastures and woods of Whiting's Neck, West Virginia, ten minutes from Martinsburg. Merry Mount Riding and Training Center offers riding instruction from beginner to advanced levels with skilled instruction in the basics, jumping, combined training, practical dressage and stable management.

The camp will be limited to two groups of five, for a maximum of ten students per camp. Previous experience will be taken into account when assigning students to groups. Daily activities include two one-hour sessions of mounted instruction, as well as stable management, horsemanship, and basic first aid and veterinary care. The program is geared to provide each student with a basic understanding of riding theory, as well as an idea of the responsibilities that are involved in the care of a horse.
